Pretend today is Monday

Essays are one aspect of school I could happily do without. On the plus side, I can't say I did no writing this last week.

I have also been doing quite a bit of reading, and not just for classes. I was playing around on one of my favorite sites for free classical ebooks, http://www.gutenberg.org and came across "Les enfants des Tuileries" by vicomtesse Olga de SĂ©gur Pitray. I can't say why I'm enjoying it so much (beyond that the French is simple enough I have little difficulty following it)... it seems to be a sort of morality story centering on the lives of two sets of children, the 'good' children and the 'horrible' children (who eventually learn to be good). At any rate, it has the same charm all really old children's novels have simply from being from a bygone era, even if I find myself disliking the 'good' children almost as much as the 'bad'. All four grow on you, in the end.

So that has been my week, schoolwork and play. I hope yours has gone as well!
